Made in 1988, The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover, written and directed by Peter Greenaway is an incredible film even if it is gruesome. 12 of us attended even if 3 left during the screening due to the content.

Present at the screening; John, Fidelma, Simon, Beirne, Julie, Marion, Ted, Me, Jacqui, James, Dermot and Michael. We huddled on bean bags in a 20 foot by 20 foot plywood box in the Vintage Ranges factory at the Airport Park.

My sister Jacqui is a radio producer for RTE 1 and she made a recording of the event to go out shortly on Arena, the arts programme. It should make for interesting listening.

Next film is Dermots choice and he has suggested Cat People. I am designing a dome shaped structure with a parachute covering that will drop from the high cieling of the factory to accomodate the monthly screenings. Making it is the easy part, convincing John to give me the go ahead is the tricky part.
