The Face of a City

With this project I hope to be able to capture the people and personality of Waterford City, Ireland. The here and now that is sometimes overlooked. Real people, real lives, the real city. The beauty and the beast. From clubbers to shopkeepers. The city as it sleeps. The everyday, the ordinary, the extraordinary. The colourful. The bleak.

PLEASE SUBMIT IMAGES

I am asking for submissions from people to add to this collection. It is open to anyone young or old not just photographers and artists. I am asking contributors to make their own interpritation of the project title (The Face of a city). The submissions don't necessarily have to be of people. The clock tower? City hall? A traffic jam? Your dog? Remember that the definition of a face is a very broad one. Here's some extracts from the dictionary;

• The surface of the front of the head from the top of the forehead to the base of the chin and from ear to ear.
• The surface presented to view; the front.
• A façade.
• Outer surface: the face of the earth.
• An exposed, often precipitous surface of rock.
