Stained Glass
Stained Glass is where I started from, before I even realised that I was an artist. I have undertaken commisions large and small as well as creating exhibition pieces. The photos on the right show some examples of what I would call Art Glass.
Below is a slideshow of more traditional motifs that I have created. Click play and maximise to full view;
The following slideshow of over 100 different stained glass doorways and windows that I designed and created at The Salvage Shop in Waterford, Ireland. This includes front doors, sidepanels, fanlights, internal doors, feature windows and screens. The designs are traditional in nature including georgian, victorian, edwardian and gothic. Click play and maximise to full view;
Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Amber, Olive, Purple, Orange, Turquoise. Stained Glass has taught me a lot, not least how to juggle colour. The colours that work well together because they complement each other. The colours that work well together because they do NOT complement each other. Using colour to me is now second nature. Childs Play. I have no inhibitions with colour.
Becoming an artist using Stained Glass was enlightening (pardon the pun). I spent many years exploring themes like the seasons and the four elements, underwater, bubbles, rocks and roots.
